To Barbara, my wonderful wife of 52 years!

Since my diagnosis with a rare cancer, mantle cell lymphoma, almost two years ago, I have not been able to visit schools and teacher conferences to show and discuss my history studies. Instead, as health and time have permitted, I have spent many hours gathering and adding my inspirational and other writings with the purpose of sharing them along with my histories through this unique site.

This is Barbara's website, my gift to her this Christmas. But it is ours as well, to use together, hopefully to share thoughts and ideas with you and to make available some of the products and creative ideas we have generated over the years. As we develop it, we hope also to provide useful links that will interest our guests. Following is one of hundreds of my poems to become available here.

Christmas All Year
1996

"Christmas comes but once a year,"
They say, or are they wrong?
I think the tender touch of love
Brings Christmas all year long!

The season that we greet each year,
The "merry's" that we share,
Become an anthem when we show,
In fact, we really care.

Every smile's a gift of joy
And every laugh's a way
To wrap our gift of thoughtfulness
And decorate each day.

Then the angels light the sky
And bells of glory ring;
Joy, indeed, comes to our world;
In harmony we sing.

Santa comes on sleighs of prayer,
His reindeer show the way;
Bringing gifts of glorious hope
As night gives way to day.

"Hosanna's" are the shouts we call,
The King is on His throne,
When we safely add our name
To those He calls His own.

Then join us in this new resolve
As New Year's Eve draws near:
To love and laugh and care and pray
For Christmas all next year!
